Subject: Re: [slim] TelCanto (was "Sonos
Doesn't Have to be a Threat")
Hi Michael,
As I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, I had previously
started work on a slimserver fat client for the pocket pc using the
.NET Compact Framework (what Telcanto uses), but had stopped because the CLI
was missing something I needed. I've been informed that there is no
longer anything missing from the CLI, so I started-up development again last
night. No clue when I'll have what, but when it's done it'll be free
if you don't mind waiting.
Just FYI: I've uploaded some screenshots for my
SlimServerMod project (AMX NetLinx automation system interface to the
Squeezebox). If you click here:
You can see a sample "status" screenshot showing
full status of the player, player name, repeat, shuffle, etc. Note that
you also have album art as well as bargraphs showing progress through the
playlist and current song.
A little clicking will show "browse" screens (the
initial browse screen as well as the results after pressing "Artists" and
scrolling down a few pages). Note that you have a scrollbar for long
lists as well as up/down arrows.
On the SlimServer side, this was all done with
today's CLI (in SlimServer v6.0). You should definitely give it another
look if it wasn't rich enough for you before.
