Please don't do this.
The iTunes scanner will find your moved location automatically, assuming you changed the location of the Music Folder in iTunes.
Changing these settings will only break things.
We're going to be reworking those settings as to be clear on what they're for.

My .xml is on my internal HD in my home folder. ie
/imacG4/Users/steven/Music/itunes/iTunes Music Library.xml
and the music folder is on the external HD ie
/Volumes/media/itunes
So if you look in the Music folder in your home folder it should be there.
Point the .xml location to there and hit rescan. I think the music folder path on the external is okay.
