Each player type requests an audio stream in preferred order. The server will then find a compatible conversion, or stream directly if possible. SB2 chooses FLAC, PCM, MP3. SB1 chooses AIF, WAV, MP3, and slimp3 or http clients do MP3 only. SB1 wireless will default to 320kbps mp3, but can be set to WAV in teh player settings for bitrate limiting. If you go into player settings->audio, and change the bitrate limiting, then the server will limit to mp3 playback at the rate chosen.
