I'm running SlimServer on a Win2K Server box. It's a SliMP3 problem -- the M4A files play in iTunes and the SliMP3 plays MP3s with no problems. I've installed QuickTime on the server PC (as instructed by the AAC entry in the Wiki), and now I just get silent playback rather than clicking.
All three AAC formats are enabled in File Types (AIFF, Flac & MP3). Running SlimServer from the command line gives a constant stream of errors, the pertinent section of which appears to be: --- 2005-04-24 14:36:48.0440 openSong: this is an mov file: file:///F:/Media/music/i Tunes/Annie/Anniemal/01%20Intro.m4a 2005-04-24 14:36:48.0445 file type: mov format: mp3 inrate: 135.451117258991 m axRate: 320 2005-04-24 14:36:48.0447 command: [mov123] $FILE$ | [lame] --resample 44100 -- silent -q $QUALITY$ -b $BITRATE$ -r - - 2005-04-24 14:36:48.0473 Using command for conversion: "C:\Program Files\SlimSer ver\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread\mov123.exe" "F:\Media\music\iTunes\Annie \Anniemal\01 Intro.m4a" | "C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\lame.exe" --re sample 44100 --silent -q 3 -b 320 -r - - | 2005-04-24 14:36:48.1919 Streaming with format: mp3 Assuming raw pcm input file Failed at line: 316 Conversion failed with error: -3000 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3053 Read to end of file or pipe 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3061 end of file or error on socket, opening next song, (son g pos: 2089(tell says: . 0 but true), totalbytes: 2192866.66666667) 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3063 opening next song... 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3070 the next song is number 0, was 0 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3091 Setting maxBitRate for Bedroom to: 320 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3098 Setting maxBitRate for Bedroom to: 320 2005-04-24 14:36:49.3113 undermax = 0, type = mov, slimp3 = 00:04:20:04:05:ec, l ame = C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\lame.exe --- Any clues in there..? -- Adlopa _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
