Thing was, I had to set the IP address manually, and I was wondering is there anyway to allow my XP (pro) to become a DHCP server and the SB2 to request a DHCP address from my XP.
Does anyone know how to do this?
You'll have to install a third party product - XP does not provide a dhcp server. You'd have to buy "XP server" (Windows 2003).
You can google around for shareware and other dhcp server for XP.
