Hi All,
I'm trying to set up softsqueeze to access my slimserver on my home PC (behind a firewall, of course). I can PuTTy into port 22 on the device, but can't get any connection to the slimserver.
Make sure you are not running slimserver on the machine you are trying to run softsqueeze/ssh from (this one stumped me for about a week!)
I've been all over the internet trying to find a simple set of instructions for filling out the boxes in the softsqueeze/networking tab, but there's nothing out there that I can find that applies to the novice user. If possible, could someone please point out:
1) What goes in the fields from "Use SSH Tunnel" on down. I assume I need to use an SSH proxy, but I have no idea how to identify the type of proxy, or what port it should be using.
2) How should I configure my firewall. I can't seem to forward port 22 to more than one port on the machine running slimserver, and, honestly, I don't know what port it should be forwarded to anyway.
Obviously, I'm a windows user ;-). (XP Pro. I'm also using Open SSH for windows)
