Last night I reverted back to the 5.4.0 release. It's the *only* release I've seen that is stable on XP SP2. I've tried almost every one and all the 6.x releases.
I haven't almost give up on slimdevices, just running the slimserver on XP. I feel like they just don't have a happy marriage so I was contemplating putting everything on Linux to save myself some headache. The problem is I put a high value on the iTunes integration and not sure if I can get the slimserver on linux to communicate smoothly to a XP iTunes installation. Any advice on this is appreciated. I'm happy to re-install 6.x and send any logs. If one can give me some guidance on what information would be most helpful, let me know and I'll forward on.
