New discovery relating to this - seems to happen most often about a minute into songs - was just listening to an album and track one reset itself twice, a minute in both times. After that it worked fine until track 4, and now the same thing's happening again - it's resetting itself at almost exactly the same point.
I've listened to the track using a different (software) player and it plays fine, with no clicks or any distortion. Plus the squeezebox still resets itself during internet radio streams too, so I'd guess it can't be the individual mp3s.
