Q: What firmware version do I need to upgrade to in order to use SlimServer? The latest SoundBridge software (version 2.1) supports SlimServer version 5.4. Note: When you first connect to SlimServer, SlimServer may say that it needs to �upgrade� the firmware in your SoundBridge. The SoundBridge doesn�t actually use SlimServer firmware, but since SoundBridge emulates a SqueezeBox, it needs to tell the SlimServer that it�s running a current SqueezeBox firmware revision. At the time of this writing, version 40 worked with SlimServer 5.4. If that version still asks you to update, you can have the SoundBridge automatically try software versions in sequence until it finds one that works.
