Hi, I have my SB2 connected to a Classe DAC-1. Both the SB2 and the DAC share a single power outlet (via a power strip). I have noticed that when I turn on/off lights in my house that I occasionally get glitches in the audio output. I have no idea if these lights share the same circuit breaker or not. Let's say for the sake of argument that they do.
I can see that the LOCK light on my DAC flickers when this happens (which explains the glitches). I have had similar problems when using my DAC while connected to a M-audio sound card via the Coax input. I don't have these problems when using the toslink input on my DAC (with either the M-audio card or the SB2). Now, my question for others: Do you have the same problem when running with an exernal DAC/coax? Seems to me that the issue is that the isn't enough electrical isolation on either my DAC and/or SB2. I'm sure this is just something I have to live with, but I'm wondering if I could fix this somehow (like with a power conditioner of some sort...). I'd like to use the coax output on the SB2 (as it is supposedly superior to the toslink), but the glitches that I get are a bit annoying.
