You'll need to open up 3483 for TCP for SB and SB2, as they both use TCP connections for control.

Thanks for the info. My problem was related to slimserver's security setting: allowedHosts is not only needed for CLI and web access, but for the players, too. The description is somewhat misleading about this.

Now SB and SB2 are working. But I have little luck with SliMP3: if wired, then it's ok. But it's in the sleeping room, connected to a wireless bridge (linksys wet11?). It does connect to the server. I can ping it. I can remote control it from the web interface. But it wouldn't play nor accept input from the remote control.

When I started playback from the web interface it went automatically back to "stopped" after a few seconds. With d_stream I get the following log:

2005-05-26 18:11:01.2161 00:04:20:04:13:10 new stream
2005-05-26 18:11:01.2913 00:04:20:04:13:10 1117123861.29121 Timeout on seq: 8 2005-05-26 18:11:01.3466 00:04:20:04:13:10 1117123861.34654 Timeout on seq: 8
[... many times ...]
2005-05-26 18:11:31.2216 00:04:20:04:13:10 stream stop
2005-05-26 18:11:31.2807 00:04:20:04:13:10 1117123891.28061 Timeout on seq: 9

What does that mean?
