SB1/SB2 uses:
9000 is used for the streaming connection.
3483 is used for the slimproto control connection.

I always thought 9000 was the web interface and stream.mp3 only.

What access point are you using?

It's a local "brand", but I think it's a rebranded Trendnet wlan/router (the cheapest I found...). But this is not even important: the "DMZ" -> LAN routing is done by a Linux machine. I added rules for these two ports and locked down access to http accesses to the three players (in slimserver).

How fine is fine? It's fine enough to only allow my music players to access the DMZ from the WLAN. All other devices (guest's laptops) only can access the internet. All in all this should be secure enough for my needs.
