I had a similar problem... I was transmitting via a bridged wireless connection to an SB1. The connection from the SB1 to the hub was wired.  When I switched the bridge to 802.11G (instead of the lower bandwidth "B") , it solved the issue.

I should also note that I (mostly) use MP3s at 192k, so I was surprised that it seemed to be bandwidth issue. However, the wireless network here is used by a few PCs, a TiVo, etc., and when I was on "B" and removed the WAP encryption, it helped a bit. The "G" speed finally did the trick.

Dunno if that will lead you to a solution - just my 2 cents ;-)

I have 2 hard-wired Squeezebox1 devices.  One is wired directly into the
hub and works flawlessly.  The other is hard-wired to a wireless access
point (WAP11b) that talks to another WAP11b access point (which in turn
is wired directly into the hub).  I'm getting occasional dropouts on the
wireless access point connected device.

I've tried playing with the channels, preambles, transmission rates,
etc. and have not had much luck.  The problem is difficult to work on
because it is intermittent.

Anyone have any tricks or advice?  Is there a way to buffer the data
the way a wireless Squeezebox would to help prevent some of these
drops?  Any settings you've had luck playing with?  Is there atleast a
way to test this signal strength?  I can hard-wire a laptop into the
remote access point if there is software that will test the connection
without requiring a wireless card.

Many thanks...
