OK, I dug more into this and found it's not a SlimServer problem at all. It's just that SoftSqueeze won't seem to play the stream that comes out of a Live365 broadcast through the SlimServer. If I plug Windows Media Player (ugh) into port 9000/stream.mp3, then I get the sound.
By the way, all those "would have blocked" things were a total false alarm. It was reading from the HTTP socket fine. OK, so that leads me to two questions: 1) Anyone know why SoftSqueeze would be unable to play a 24kbps stream coming from Live365? 2) If I buy a SB2, am I going to have the same problems? Or is it a SoftSqueeze thing.
