The first one I tried is from here. http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/dist/
I have only tried it briefly but it seemed to work well, I admit that it only had to process a handful of files but the option seem to exist for writing the image into the MP3 data and/or adding them as folder.jpg into the same folder as the MP3 data. As soon as I get my music migrated to a new server I will test it out on a larger selection! This one requires the .NET framework installing first. http://str8dog.com/archive/2004/06/23/1232.aspx Not tried yet but will report back when I have. I am similarly puzzled by the appearance of cover art for some, and only some, of my own ripped CDs. Like others I am also confused. Michael's explanation seems logical but I am using EAC and I didn't think that it downloaded cover art. I already have a comprehensive set of cover art linked to a separate CD database but the images are large; full-sized. I would appreciate hearing how Richard gets on and from anyone else who can offer advice on how I could link my MP3 albums into my existing collection of album art - without copying images.
