Hi, You can use a product called ProntoLite to learn and emulate the remote control - I think it's payware but I don't think it's killer expensive. Be warned though - the infrared on most palms is low power and you might have to be quite close. You won't get the display with this method though.....
As stated previously, if you can get your Palm online (on your wifi network) you'd be better served using the PDA skin option to control the web interface. Just my 10c worth!
