Here's a pick of one of the amps I built for my SB2s. http://www.at-view.co.uk/pictures.htm
It's in a 270x170x65 ish die-cast box and includes a mains PSU using a 160VA 18V-0-18V toriodal transformer, which (as you can see)is the main space consumer. For better amplifier performance you could use 2 160VA transformers; one per channel. The boxes screw onto the wall at mains socket/skirting level and are therefore generally out of sight. There's no volume control needed 'cos the digital one on the SB2 works fine. The amps feed wall mounted JBL Control 1 speakers (which are available for £70 in the UK). I adapted standard speaker brackets to work with the JBLs 'cos the JBL ones are (a) ugly and (b) expensive. It all works pretty well. You'll find an email address on the website (www.at-view.co.uk), if you want the receipe or some mnore info. -- Patrick Dixon _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
