Correct - if the WOL packet is a broadcast, a router should drop the packet immediately and *not* send it to the other networks it routes between. As far as I know it is only DHCP broadcasts that you can configure a router to forward easily (RFC-1542 compliance), not magic packets, but I think it can be done. However, I think that most home networks are small enough to be on only one subnet, so a caveat regarding forwarding of WOL magic packets over a router is not that much of a problem IMHO.
