For single zone auto-sensing amps, a few good options are the AudioSource 100, AudioSource 200, and Parasound Zamp. Also, the Sonic Impact T amps are not auto-sensing, but draw so little power when idling that they may as well be auto-sensing.
As for concentrating the SB Receivers in one place with a multi-zone amp versus distributing SBR & amps around the house, there are pros and cons of each, as I'm sure you're aware.
