Most startups not only experience one or more significant market or "paradigm" shifts along the way to adulthood, but in fact the better ones cause them. That's what management is for, to successfully direct and alter strategy to deal with changes in the world. Paying for something that you then give away for free is not a business model. I don't care what you pay for it, advertising will not support the giveaway. I have no specific insights, but I would bet most internet music sites these days are walking wounded, or worse. The problem is not royalties. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them too, but my guess is that most of them will not be around long term. -- Goodsounds ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Goodsounds's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14201 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51180 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
