All good points skunk. I guess it's a market pitch. I guess theres an argument that luring joe away from iTunes DRM and whatever pirate stuff s/he can download is tough.
I am currently debating the merits of testing my capacity with a readyNAS setup but for a common boob like me, I might waste my money when I fail. Tending instead towards a low-wattage PC such as tranquil because it's easier. Like you, my laptop is almost always on, and I use SB for radio via SN quite a lot, too. But I'd like to separate musicserving from work, especially since its tough on the little laptop to grind away for long hours like that. Glad at least one person agrees with my general idea.
