I am running the same set up. I'm running SC7.2 on an XP PC, with a Sbox3 with the latest firmware. My music is also Apple Lossless on a NAS.
It was working before the upgrade, now I have a long gap of anything up to a minute before a track will play. When it does finally play, it can stutter and stop during the track. The buffer on the SB sits at 0% for ages while the track doesn't play. I have looked at all the settings on SC and they all appear to be correct. I have a few mp3 files which play without any problem, so I guess the issue is with the way the Apple Lossless files are being converted to AIFF / FLAC etc...
