Sort of similar. That bug described white noise - which in my mind is like a mis-tuned FM radio - but mine is a single continuous tone.
Next time it happens ... I'll turn off the speakers and take a look at the SqueezeCenter GUI to see if there are any clues. In my set-up - 2*SB2 - sync'd - one is wired and one wireless.
