I think that what is happening is that the initial stream URL eventually results in a HTTP "Object moved" to redirect to a time-limited URL, which then requires use of MMS over TCP port 1755 (not HTTP port 80). Squeezebox/SqueezeCenter (and mplayer) probably trying to connect on port 80 - which, in the case at this particular station, results in 403 error because port 80 access is blocked on their streaming server.
Asking the broadcaster to open up port 80 streaming might make the problem go away. -- Paul Webster Paul Webster http://www.lastfm.com/user/BondJamesBond ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52995 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
