It's perfectly feasible to add an 'optional' amp (of T-Amp quality), that can be 'bypassed' if you want to use a different (better) amp. I have 4 SB3's and a Duet and I would prefer to have a small internal amp in some of them, makes for a much cleaner solution (less wires, less power adapters, less hassle). Sonos got that right (I don't know if you can bypass theirs, though).
