There's no need at all to "archive analysis".  All this does is store some tags 
in the music files such that if you ever move the physical location of the 
files, or need to reinstall MusicIP, the analysis will be quicker second time 
round.

In fact, many people are concerned about allowing MusicIP to write tags back to 
the files (me included - I don't do it any more with mp3 tags since I found it 
loses multiple genres in id3v2.3 tags, although I haven't seen any problems 
with FLAC).

Yes, you can do that, but rather than typing in a pathname, and refreshing 
every now and then to determine when analysis is complete, I prefer to use the 
MusicIP GUI.
