Perhaps this isn't related then - since you've got a v2. However, I had a problem a while back when WMA radio stations wouldn't play on my original Squeezebox, but would work fine on my v3.
The problem was fixed when I installed AlienBBC. If I understand correctly, it was because AlienBBC converts the WMA stream on the server, which the v1 is unable to do. The v3 (and v2) are supposedly able to do this conversion natively. Someone else may be able to confirm/contradict this.
