It my problem is solved now (I think). I did two things: 1) upgraded to squeezecenter 7.2.1-23496 2) added the URL http://www.omroep.nl/live/radio2-breed.asx to 'favorites' (in stead of 'my radio stations', which is not available anymore)
I don't know which of these steps did the trick, but I am glad it works now.
