That would be lovely. Have the option of adding a tags file to your 
music directory that overrides any tags you have in the files. I updated 
tags for 18 GB of files yesterday and my DSL line is still sweating away 
trying to pump all these changed files over to my backup colo box... :(

I'd also love to have a way to tell SC not to (permanently) index files 
in certain folders (by placing directives in a file) and let me play 
them via browse folders only. Look at all these people asking questions 
about SC splitting up multi disk albums. You could fix that by adding 
one simple file. It could also be handy to keep flac and mp3 versions of 
music in the same directory and tell SC to ignore the mp3 ones. That 
problem comes around a lot as well.
