Is there any chance your neighbors decided to buy a new wireless-N router around the same day you installed 7.2.1?
As far as I can tell, 7.2.1 was the most trivial upgrade ever released. Not a lot of changes, so not a lot is there to break. Your symptoms sound like your wireless network is getting clobbered.
