Look at existing code. Best place to start is the code in Slim/Plugins,
as these are "sanctioned" and likely to be written cleanly. I know my
code tends to snowball and get messier over time -- since this is a
hobby for me and I have very limited time, making it work is a thousand
times more important than keeping my code clean.

Oh, and try asking these questions in the "Developers" forum. :-)
