Am I the only one that thinks that Softsqueeze has huge potential as a major competitive differentiator between our SqueezeCenter line of product and other solutions? I would really like to use Softsqueeze as the one and only audio application on my PC and thereby use it as the only audio solution in my work study - the speakers and audio are truly very good and deserve to work in harmony with the rest of the Squeezeboxes and Booms in the house.
As of now it still looks like Softsqueeze is a little bit of a garage development - my hat's off to those putting it together, but I wish there was a bit more emphasis on truly "productizing" it. Right now it is still hampered with stability issues, especially when one synchronizes with other SB in the house. It seems to introduce lags and instabilities in SC - and when one closes the application it will still show up as a player in SC 7.2.1 and seemingly lead to lags and software confusion in a few things. I am running it on a rock solid Vista Ultimate 64 bit machine with an Intel E8600 and 8GB of memory, so computing resources are not an issue. Perhaps compatibility with Vista 64 is? I'd like to hear if others share my opinion that Softsqueeze deserves more attention from Logitech. -- pablolie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54577 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
