No it is not tied to the "limited browser" (which by the way a browser based interface has capabilities beyond what a dedicated client app could have). Example, any PDA that has a network becomes a rather nice Graphically remote control for your Squeezebox with only the use of a skin (no extra coding needed). But the point is when I am using my Squeezebox and I imagine most other people here, I never even use the browser software. I occasionally use my PDA with the browser, but for the most part I do not have a need for that.
