I have had oddities with the ASX streams via Staff Picks (esp when they were my favourites). The url seems to be differently configured to the normal BBC ASX streams (what is that _nb_e1s1#slim:noscan=1,aid=2 stuff for too?).
I've gone back to using the iPlayer or AlienBBC streams which seem to work much better now than they used to and are of a superior audio quality to the asx streams. I am on 7.3 (if it makes any difference).
