I assume we are talking about "The Rolling Stone Magazine 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time". Downloaded from the internet. If so, this collection is a bit of a bitch. Many tracks although ostensibly part of the 'Same album' do in fact have some 'hidden' info which identifies the source album for the individual track. I remember having the same problem... I cannot recall exactly how I fixed it, but I suspect I first used Tag&Rename to rename every file to contain the critical information viz: Track number, Artist and Song Title. Then I think I used MP3Tag to delete all tag information for every song in the collection. This left only the bare file names. Then used Tag&rename to re-create the tag information. Track #, Artist & Song Title coming from the file name & the other common information like Album name, genre, album art...via Tag&Rename's multiple file tagging feature.
PS do this fix up on a copy set of the original files!!
