I live in a condo/loft building too but my unit is 2 floors and cabling the unit is unfortunately just not an option (WAF). Hard-wiring would help to isolate the problem but I really don't feel like unhooking it all right now (lazy I guess - maybe next week). Because I can reproduce it now at whim I really don't think it's a signal/connectivity issue but some setting that I might be missing...
