When I was a teenager, a friend had an old Morris Minor, a late
50s-early 60s model. It was "interesting", to be polite. There were a
bunch of oddball British brands that were around in small numbers at
that time - I remember Hillman, Singer, Sunbeam. All were loved by
their owners, but the love was unrequited. I myself owned a Triumph
for awhile, it too was a one sided love relationship. I loved it, it
didn't love me.
