12 years ago, I took home a cat from the pound: an evil evil black cat. The pound actually tried to tell me not to take her because she was mean. She spent the first week growling at me whenever I looked at her. So she was named Snarlycat. (And it turns out she was actually a very sweet cat, she just wanted life her way... She had the most impressive arched-back black cat hiss, too, and was brilliant: it took her less than 10 seconds to figure out laser pointers, and she would never chase them, just look at me with a "why do you keep pointing that thing on the floor next to me?" look.)
