I'd file a bug then. This should work, and I'd go so far as to say this DOES work for almost everyone, so the good news is that it's probably something very very simple that's not going to come out until someone asks the right question. You're likely going to need to provide some scanner logs to the SlimDevices support team so they can figure out why the scanner's not reading your tags right.
