Unfortunately in the SB2 and SB3, 1 is as dark as it gets and it's no more fine-grained than that. Boom is much better - it can go much darker due to hardware differences.
You may want to try Settings - Display - Standby Font set to High, then size set to small. To get a "High" font in the web UI, select the blank drop-down box, then use the drop-down arrow. That will eliminate everything but the clock on the top line and use 1-pixel-wide characters. This is literally the smallest number of pixels that can be lit to indicate the time. Turn off more pixels by setting the font to read hour and minutes only, no date. A 24-hour format would eliminate a few more characters but I can never get 24 h time. :-) Even after the above I found it was still bright enough to make a "nightlight" and cast shadows. Again, Boom is much better here - perhaps the developers heard my pitiful whining. ;-) -- Mark Lanctot Current: SB2, Transporter, Boom (PQP3 - late beta) Stored: Boom (PQP1 - early beta), SBC (beta - no battery) Sold: SB3, Duet ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55353 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
