Have a look at SLIMP3 Boom Box from the plugins page. I've seriously thought about something like this for my Squeezebox G.

Actually, I'd even buy one if AC power was the only option. Before I
bought the SB2, I was looking at both the Linksys and HomePod network
players because they both had built-in speakers. Despite the poor
reviews, I stupidly bought the HomePod and ended up returning it. It
was horrible!
