I had a similar problem described in this thread. After two and a half years, the SB3 is suddenly dead. Logitech phone support said since there's no repair facility in Australia and the unit is out of warranty, it's a write off.
So I thought I might as well crack the case open and see if it was something obvious like a blown capacitor or similar. Before I did, I decided to measure the current draw, which was easier for me to do using a separate switchable PSU I have with exposed terminals. Viola, the squeezebox worked. So notch up another dead power supply. I wonder if the power supply was simply under-speced from the start. The PSU which was supplied with the unit claims an output of [EMAIL PROTECTED], while the sticker on the bottom of the SB3 wants [EMAIL PROTECTED] (I didn't end up measuring what is actually being used, might do that later.) -- toojays ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toojays's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5502 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41199 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
