I was running 7.2 on a NAS, but recently moved it over to an ASUS eBox running WinXP Home.
I was running into errors playing podcasts in 7.3 and 7.3.1 so I uninstalled slimserver and from a clean install installed 7.2.1. I am still getting an odd error when trying to play just about any podcast when selecting play from a squeezebox remote. The error messages read as follows in the slimserver log file. The display reads that the podcast has been stopped. [08-12-26 21:51:54.2527] Slim::Player::Source::openSong (2005) Warning: Don't know how to handle content for [http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=510221] type: xml [08-12-26 21:51:54.2544] Slim::Player::Source::openSong (2266) Error: Can't open [http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=510221] : Bad file descriptor [08-12-26 21:52:17.5583] Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::getConvertCommand (311) Error: Didn't find any command matches for type: xml format: mp3 The really odd part is if I hit run from the website with the same player selected in seems to play just fine. Why different behavior from the web server vs. the device? Even odder yet, the above behavior is specific a a squeezebox 1 and a squeezebox 2. I have a squeezebox boom and it give the above error either from the remote or from the web server page. I am more the willing to provide logs or do any testing if anyone can give me instructions on how to proceed. Thank you very much. I realize this must be something specific to my setup, but there is very little on this machine except what it was shipped with, so I am stumped.
