As a consumer who spends a good portion of his time working with my home audio/video streaming, I say the more the merrier.
The greater the variety the better the chance we'll overcome DRM restrictions and iTunes style lock-in. That's why I was heartened by iLuv offering an Internet streaming radio for ~140$ recently. Streaming digital entertainment is still in enough of an infancy that everyone joining really helps.
