It's coded in the page. It's based on the OpenSearch specification ( http://www.opensearch.org/ ). Works in both FF and IE. It works this way: - You add an xml file to your site that contains the search engine description, here: http://wiki.slimdevices.com//opensearch_desc.php - You add a link tag to the HTML of the pages you want the search engine to be installed from: <link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" href="/opensearch_desc.php" title="SqueezeboxWiki (English)" /> I personally think a link 'add the wiki searchengine plugin to your browser' would be more effective. I think you more or less stumbled upon it. I just implemented both methods to my website. Thanks for the tip!
