Surely the critical thing is whether you want a screen? I would not be without my SB3 now - being able to look at the stereo to see what's playing is a real benefit.
I did buy a Duet with the intention of replacing the SB3, but decided I preferred the SB3 to the Receiver due to the screen and seemingly better wireless reception. I didn't compare sound quality directly, but both fed into an external DAC anyway. I'm not going to comment particularly on the Controller, because you either like it or you don't; do try it before you buy it, if you can.
