Thanks for your detailed instructions. I tried and tried. Learned way much more than I ever wanted to know about Linux. Gave up and installed it onto the flash drive of the T5720 - AND IT STILL DIDN'T Work!. So took the hd, put it into another pc - and guess what - it was the HD that was corrupted. I just happened somehow to randomly use several corrupted files. So - reformatted the HD, re-copied all my music files to the HD - and at last all works. True I gave up on Linux - but at least I have squeezecenter running very quietly on windows XPe on the HP thin client. Nice. What I wanted in the end.
