I reckon that you're on the money - most of my collection is in Ogg containers. I encode using a number of different machines (as well as having some downloads that I got in Ogg format) so it's possible that one of them is producing dodgy encodings. Thanks very much for the hint! I don't know of any way to check an ogg file to see if it's valid, but if anyone knows of a utility (Windows or Linux, I'm not proud) that can test if an ogg file is valid, I'd love to hear about it. I've used a bunch of different versions of 'oggenc' over the years including aoTuV builds, so I suspect it could be a nightmare finding out which one gave the bad encodes :-( Thanks again for the help, Glenn. -- GlennBooth ------------------------------------------------------------------------ GlennBooth's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58467 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
