Well I actually would like a Squeezebox Portable: Take the controller as a basis, make it smaller, put some buttons on the side to save space, keep the same UI, keep the memory card so the capacity can be upgradable, make it a top notch SQ headphone out, same audio codec support as the other Squeezeboxes, keep the streaming playback, install Squeezecenter inside the Portable, ability to sync with other Squeezecenter instances over Wifi so I can choose and copy my music easily to my Portable, and use the transcoding abilities of Squeezecenter so that I could have a choice of transcoding my FLAC music library in my main server to MP3 or OGG on my Portable (and this way I eliminate the need to have duplicates of the music I want in my portable).
