I'm not sure what kind of information you wish to obtain exactly, but for Windows based desktops the following may be a handy alternative:
Metageek inSSIDer - http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider - 'Direct download link' (http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/download) It uses the native Windows API so there are far less issues with specific hardware and driver requirements. If you can connect to a wireless network from your laptop, then this should be able to show you the networks in your area along with some information. Might be worth mentioning this in the Wiki too. I know it's Windows specific and may not be as detailed in terms of information, but it's a lot easier to install. -- furonfour ------------------------------------------------------------------------ furonfour's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17114 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42974 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
